After the Deadline was a brilliant acquisition for Automattic. WordPress is in the business of helping people write and publish effectively. Everything they do should be focused around that in some capacity. After the Deadline does just that; it helps people proofread posts.

When the plugin was first released however, it did not support the non-visual, HTML editor (which is all I personally use.) This created a problem for me. There’s a great product, but I can’t use it.

Solution: After the Deadline releases an updated plugin that does support the HTML editor.

Awesome! Now I can use it. Let’s see what it looks like.

One thing that is still a little weird is that I’m noticing it converts the post to normal HTML, similar to how the visual editor looks, goes through the post, then when you click “edit text” to finish editing, it gets converted back to the normal, plain HTML. I imagine they will try to fix that in a future release.

Otherwise, great release and I’m really looking forward to using this plugin a lot in the future (even though I often don’t need it, it’s good to check at least.)
