WordPress truly is a worldwide affair. It’s a treat to watch WordPress continue to grow and to see how excited folks are about the platform and where it is heading. Have you ever wanted to spend some face time with other people as passionate as you are about something? Well, now is as good as time as any to do just that.

WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress. There are six WordCamp conferences set up between now and the end of the year. New ones pop up regularly and there is a good chance if there isnt one scheduled near you yet, there will be soon.

Here is a quick run down of the remaining events for this year:

WordCamp Phoenix

November 13, 2009 – $30 entrance fee which includes breakfast and lunch, will be held at the Arizona Grand Resort. Will feature great speakers like Matt Mullenweg, Dave Moyer, Merlin Mann, Brent Spore, John Hawkins. Free t-shirt too.

WordCamp Victoria

November 14th, 2009 – With a $40 entrance fee, you’ll have a jam packed day of speakers like Lorraine Murphy, Catherine Novak, Jeff Richards and Lloyd Budd from Automattic. There will be two tracks running, one for bloggers and the other for the technical folks all being held at Victoria Campus of University Canada West.

WordCamp Bangkok

November 15th, 2009 – Being held at Sripatum University with keynote Pol.Col. Yannaphol Yangyuen (Thai Webmaster’s Association President), this should be a fun filled event including music from the WordPress band at 1pm. Most learning sessions will be held in the afternoon.

WordCamp New York

November 15th-16th, 2009 – This is a huge venue and will be a wonderful WordCamp. The event will be held at Baruch College of the City University of New York. There will be over 50 speakers (not a typo) for this epic WordPress event including core developers like Matt Martz and Mark Jaquith. There will be a 2.9 Bug Hunt room for those interested helping with the upcoming release. There are various pricing options for you that will get you to all the sessions on both days.

WordCamp Peru

November 28th, 2009 – Put together by Javier Albarracín, this is the first ever WordCamp Peru, great job extending the event down to South America. Although no venue is posted, it will be held in Lima and the event will cover topics like WordPress personalization and security.

WordCamp Orlando

December 5, 2009 – The event will be held at Rollins College in Orlando and registration is still open at $15 per person. The keynote will be held by Matt Mullenweg, who will be accompanied on various other discussions throughout the day by core developers and more.
