At 20.00 hours everybody is supposed to stop what they're doing and be silent for 2 minutes, remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We should keep doing that just not to forget.... It's my prompt to remember to thank those I know who were willing to pay that cost. I am not a vet, but some of my very best friends are. My dad was in the Navy during Vietnam, my brother is in Special Forces (in an undisclosable location of course), and my paternal grandfather came back from the Battle of the Bulge not quite the man he was before it. So, thanks guys. When you check 6, you'll find I've got your back. Veteran’s Day is an invitation to pause and consider what I often forget: the cost of serving to protect this country. They know that anything less than a free life is death, and are willing to fight till death for their freedom. It is very tragic that our leaders are having our soldiers engage in wars with altruistic motives. It is alarming that even after we have been attacked on our own soil, our leaders have always been unwilling to declare our enemies to be evil -- it is alarming and tragic that our leaders have been willing to put the lives of our soldiers at risk rather than risking the lives of sundry citizens of our enemy nations. Our leaders have no clue as to how to conduct a war -- wars should be conducted with only two goals in mind: firstly, at most safety to our own solders, and secondly, the total destruction of our enemies, their territories and their facilities.
